The goal of the meetings is to raising the level of religious literacy, develop skills counteract recruitment in destructive religious movements and form the negative attitude to their ideological influence. The speaker explained in more detail the main provisions of the regulatory framework of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of religion, listed the traditional denominations represented in Kazakhstan. Further, he explained the concept of “destructive religious movement”, listed the main characteristics and signs. Speaking about recruitment techniques, special attention was paid to methods of attracting new adherents via the internet, where information can be provided in a distorted form, as well as some methods of countering their negative impact.
